Product Overview
'Crushed Mother of Pearl' Globes, handcrafted by artisans.
These beautiful globes are made using crushed Mother of Pearl for the Oceans and Countries are constructed from individual hand cut pieces of mineral, hard stones and semi precious stones mounted in relief.
The larger the globe is, the more detail and stone variety, examples of stones used are Malachite, Mother of Pearl, Jasper, Amethyst, Agate and Tiger Eye.
Well over forty different stones are used in the larger sized globes. A 330mm globe has 161 cut stones which equates to 305 pieces (i.e. China has 9 pieces of Picture Jasper).
The 220mm globe also has 161 cut stones, which equates to 244 pieces. Lines of latitude and longitude are depicted using very fine gilded wire and all the legends on the globe are silk screen printed to a high quality.
All the Mother of Pearl shells used in our globes are recycled from the food chain.
This product is a 110mm globe on a gold plated, pedestal stand.

Delivery Information
Free UK Delivery applies to UK Mainland. We dispatch stock lines on the same day. Estimated delivery times for UK Mainland is 2-3 days from dispatch.
Engraved items are dispatched once the engraving is complete and are not always subject to same-day dispatch.
Next Working Day Deliveries must be ordered by 12pm. Next Day charges apply to UK Mainland.
Small courier surcharges may apply to "Island & Highland" deliveries if the item is too large for us to use Royal Mail. We will always email you in advance to confirm.
Oversized International Shipments
Some larger INTERNATIONAL shipments may attract slightly higher shipping fees. If you are purchasing from abroad please email us in advance for a shipping quote.
